An Interesting List of Recommendations
I'm not holding my breath, but here's hoping a certain couple of entries on this list of Hugo nomination recommendations comes through.

"Inside Job" got a mention in Rich Horton's year-end wrap-up of (part of) Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine. I say "part of," because they apparently missed sending him a couple of issues. I'd like to think I'd have still gotten a nod even if he'd read the whole year, but who knows? I'll take what I can get.
Issue #42 is still available in print or PDF from Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine.
I should have mentioned earlier Maggie Jamison's review of Panverse One over at the revitalized Tangent Online. It's great to see TO up and about. Hopefully it will thrive. Dave Truesdale tells me he has a bunch of reviewers lined up from around the globe, which should provide a broad array of backgrounds and opinions.
Meanwhile, it looks like we'll be bidding a sad farewell to The Internet Review of Science Fiction. It's a shame, because I've really enjoyed IRoSF. Further, if Lois Tilton's online fiction review column doesn't find a new home, it will be a real loss to the SF market. There just aren't that many places that are reviewing the non-print publications anymore. Which is doubly strange, since the number of pro-rate online pubs is growing steadily, despite the loss of Jim Baen's Universe.
There's a nice review of Triangulation: Dark Glass over at Small Press Reviews. I particularly like the part that calls it a "great anthology". Pete Butler, who edited it, should be proud.
Issue #42 of Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, with my short story "Inside Job" in it, is available for purchase online. For those of us who aren't in Australia, the magazine is available as a downloadable PDF for just A$4.95. That's like $4.56 in US dollars. A bargain!
"Brief Candle" got a nice review and a "RECOMMENDED" from Lois Tilton in the December issue of IROSF.
I just noticed that there is now a Kindle edition of the "Panverse One" anthology. It's almost worth (almost, mind you) installing Kindle for PC to buy one and take a look. Since I'm a Sony Reader user (though the Barnes & Noble nook could change that), I'll wait until Dario hooks up with Smashwords or someone like that to get it into Sony's e-book store. Since Fictionwise has limited their publishing partnerships to publishers with 25 titles or more, no doubt part of the B&N acquisition, I won't hold my breath for "Panverse One" showing up on Fictionwise, where I currently get most the material I read on my Sony.
My thanks to Cheryl Lynn for her kind comments about "Brief Candle" in Clarkesworld Magazine.
The November issue of Clarkesworld Magazine is live, with my short story "Brief Candle". As usual, the issue's cover art is fantastic, and I get to share the fiction section with Cat Rambo. HCIT?
I just got my copy of Andromeda Spaceways Issue #42, which includes my short story "Inside Job". I have to admit, I've never held a physical copy of the magazine before. That's because I'm way too cheap to pay for shipping paper half way around the world. I buy the PDFs instead. That turns out to be a shame, because the magazine is nicely put together. It's perfect bound, with a mid-weight cover stock (40# maybe?) that's gloss-finshed on the outside, but matte on the inside. It makes for a handsome publication.
